# How to make verifications right

We provide temporary numbers to receive SMS for a short period of time. 

While we can't control how third-party services handle their verification process, we've helped thousands of customers receive their codes successfully.

Here are a few simple things that we recommend following: 

* **Do not violate the rules of the service you are using (e.g. sending spam) - **platforms may stop sending codes if you appear suspicious or violate their terms.

* **Use an IP address from the same country as your number** - many services verify this automatically, and a mismatch can cause the code to not be sent at all.

* **Use your device for one registration at a time** - registering multiple accounts from the same device is often flagged by services through [fingerprinting](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Device_fingerprint), which may block code delivery.

* [**Clean your cookies](https://us.norton.com/blog/how-to/how-to-clear-cookies) and cache**  - especially if you've visited that site before. A fresh session helps avoid any leftover data interfering with the process.
